A counter that closes clean every shift.

PayOS is a planned cloud web point of sale for counter cashiering. It is being designed around barcode scanning, shift registers, and capturing payments across multiple channels in one record.

In development. No launch date or pricing has been announced. Inquiries go to billing@colorideas.com.

01 / The problem

Why we are building PayOS.

Many teams run this work on spreadsheets, paper, and chat. PayOS is being designed to replace that fragmentation with one purposeful tool.

Today, without it

  • Cash drawers reconciled on paper at the end of a long day
  • Card, e-wallet, and cash totals living in different places
  • Price lookups that slow down the queue
  • No clear owner when a shift comes up short

What PayOS is designed for

  • Barcode scanning to move the line faster
  • Shift registers that open and close with a clear count
  • Every payment method captured against the same sale
  • A browser-based counter instead of a locked-in terminal
02 / Planned capabilities

What PayOS is being built to do.

These capabilities are planned. PayOS is not available yet, and scope may change as development continues.

01

Counter cashiering in the browser

Planned as a cloud web POS, so a counter runs from a browser rather than a single dedicated machine.

02

Barcode scanning

Scan items to ring up sales quickly and reduce manual price entry.

03

Shift registers

Open a register at the start of a shift and close it with a count, so variances belong to a shift, not a guess.

04

Multi-channel payment capture

Record cash, card, and other payment channels against the same transaction.

05

One sales record

Sales from each counter roll into a single cloud record for review.

03 / Workflow

How work is planned to flow in PayOS.

Open shift

The cashier opens a register with a starting float.

Scan and ring

Items are scanned and the sale is built at the counter.

Capture payment

The customer pays by one or more payment channels.

Close shift

The register is counted and closed against recorded sales.

04 / Use cases

Who PayOS is being designed for.

Counters

Busy checkout lines

Barcode scanning keeps queues moving during peak hours.

Supervisors

Shift accountability

Each register shift has its own opening and closing record.

Owners

One view of sales

Payments from every channel sit in one cloud record.
